The number of people in Riau Islands who have received their first dose of the vaccine has reached 1.48 million.

As of Saturday, December 11, 2021, the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination coverage in Riau Islands Province reached 93.87 percent. This equates to 1.48 million vaccine recipients out of a target of 1.58 million people. The second dose vaccination coverage reached 75.84 percent of the target.

By target group, the vaccination details to combat the Covid-19 virus in this province are as follows: The health workforce target was 14,120 recipients. For the first dose, 14,120 people were vaccinated (145.34 percent of the target), and for the second dose, 19,880 people were vaccinated (140.8 percent of the target).

For public service personnel, the target was 128,890 people. The first dose vaccination reached 411,670 people (319.39 percent of the target), and the second dose reached 360,280 people (279.52 percent of the target).

For the elderly, the target was 87,130 people. For the first dose, 66,360 people were vaccinated (76.16 percent of the target). For the second dose, 50,940 people were vaccinated (58.46 percent of the target).

For the vulnerable general public, the target was 1.14 million people. For the first dose, 778,790 people were vaccinated (68.49 percent of the target). For the second dose, 595,300 people were vaccinated (52.41 percent of the target).

For adolescents aged 12-17 years, the target was 207,660 people. For the first dose, 202,120 people were vaccinated (97.33 percent of the target). For the second dose, 168,410 people were vaccinated (81.1 percent of the target).
