The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 131 districts/cities with a seven-day aglomeration positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at 1.51 percent (data as of Monday, January 30, 2023).
The top five districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 20 percent are Gayo Lues (50 percent), Halmahera Timur (40 percent), Manokwari Selatan (33.33 percent), Fakfak (25 percent), and Kepulauan Aru (20 percent).
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the seven-day positivity rate in most districts/cities outside Java. Nine districts/cities recorded a higher daily seven-day positivity rate than previously.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Gayo Lues (50 percent), Halmahera Timur (40 percent), and Manokwari Selatan (33.33 percent).
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
