The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 188 districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at 4.16 percent (data as of Wednesday, September 28, 2022).
The top five districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 26.09 percent are Toli Toli, Sitaro, Simeulue, Sigi, and Bolaang Mongondow Utara, with values of 37.5 percent, 33.33 percent, 28.57 percent, 27.45 percent, and 26.09 percent, respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows that the seven-day positivity rate in most districts/cities outside Java has decreased. A daily seven-day positivity rate higher than the previous day was recorded in 121 districts/cities, while 141 districts/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Toli Toli, Sitaro, and Simeulue, with seven-day positivity rates of 37.5 percent, 33.33 percent, and 28.57 percent, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
