The top five, starting with the highest number of people tested per week, are Batam City (999 people), Samarinda City (954 people), Pasuruan (936 people), Cianjur (917 people), and Klaten (911 people).
Batam City ranks first, with 999 people tested per week. The latest positive rate is two percent, lower than the previous week's ratio.
Next is Samarinda City, with a population of 866,880. In an effort to combat the Covid-19 pandemic, 954 people were tested per week. The positive rate is 0.63 percent, also lower than the previous week's ratio.
Covid-19 testing in Pasuruan in the last week recorded 936 people, Cianjur 917 people, and Klaten 911 people.
In anticipation of the Omicron impact in various regions, based on the national Covid-19 data recapitulation, 173 regencies/cities in Indonesia actively reported a higher number of people tested daily in the last week compared to the previous week. Meanwhile, 183 other regencies/cities recorded a lower number of people tested in the last week compared to the previous week.
Areas outside Java with the highest number of people tested per week include Batam City, Samarinda City, and Sikka, with 999, 954, and 823 people tested per week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to continue reducing Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water.
