Weekly Confirmed Positive Cases in West Kalimantan Highest in Pontianak City

The highest increase in confirmed positive COVID-19 cases in West Kalimantan is currently in Pontianak City, with four cases per 100,000 population per week as of Tuesday, September 6, 2022. This figure is 1.5 cases higher than the second-highest region.

However, despite being the highest, the number of COVID-19 transmissions in Pontianak City has decreased compared to the previous week, which was at five cases per 100,000 population per week.

Next in second place is Singkawang City, recording a weekly confirmation rate of three cases per 100,000 population. Compared to the previous week, which also reached three cases, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases this week appears lower.

Still in the top five, besides the two regions above, are Mempawah, Kubu Raya, and Landak. Each recorded a weekly confirmation number of two cases, two cases, and two cases, respectively.
