Several districts/cities in North Kalimantan province still record relatively low vaccination rates compared to other regions. Some of these districts/cities include Nunukan Regency, Malinau Regency, and Tana Tidung Regency.
As of Sunday, January 23, 2022, these three regencies had only completed 181,720 doses of the first vaccine shot out of the targeted 239,610 vaccine recipients.
Nunukan Regency is ranked first in terms of low vaccination rates. As of yesterday, this region has achieved a 75.5% vaccination rate, the lowest among the five other districts/cities. The vaccination program in this regency targets 156,270 participants. The average weekly vaccination rate last week was 1,265 participants. The remaining vaccine stock is currently 14,060 doses.
Next is Malinau Regency, ranked second lowest. With a vaccination target of 63,973 participants, the vaccination realization has reached 76.2%, or 48,723 participants. The average weekly vaccination rate last week was 191 participants. The remaining vaccine stock is currently 35,078 doses.
Tana Tidung Regency is ranked third. With a vaccination target of 19,371 participants, the vaccination realization has reached 77.2%, or 14,947 participants. The average weekly vaccination rate last week was 43 participants. The remaining vaccine stock is currently 5,564 doses.
At the provincial level, the total first dose vaccination in North Kalimantan has reached 86.56%, covering 472,350 vaccine recipients. The second dose vaccination has reached 61.74%, covering 336,870 vaccine recipients.
