Weekly Household Expenditure on Rice in Bogor Regency

In 2023, per capita weekly expenditure on shelled fresh corn in Bogor Regency was Rp134.59. This represents a decrease compared to the previous year's expenditure of Rp157.67 per capita per week.

The five largest expenditures for cereals in Bogor Regency, ranked from highest to lowest, were: premium quality rice (Rp15,480 per capita per week), wheat flour (Rp658.92 per capita per week), shelled fresh corn (Rp134.59 per capita per week), glutinous rice (Rp71.79 per capita per week), and the lowest expenditure was for milled corn/corn grits (Rp10.34 per capita per week).

Per capita expenditure refers to the cost incurred for the consumption of all household members over a month, divided by the number of household members. This expenditure can be categorized into two parts: food and non-food needs.

Expenditure on food consumption is calculated weekly, while non-food expenditure is calculated monthly and for the past 12 months. Both food and non-food consumption are then converted into average monthly expenditure. The average per capita consumption/expenditure figures presented in BPS publications are obtained by dividing the total consumption of all households (both consuming food and not) by the total population.

According to BPS (Statistics Indonesia), this decrease in expenditure is due to the monthly inflation rate (month-to-month) in this region, which reached 5.19%. Meanwhile, economic growth in 2023 was recorded at 5.19%.

Based on region, the highest per capita expenditure on shelled fresh corn was in Lanny Jaya Regency, and the lowest was in Nias Regency. Bogor Regency ranked 355th in terms of expenditure on shelled fresh corn. The national average per capita expenditure on shelled fresh corn is Rp255 per capita per week.
