As of Friday, October 8, 2021, a total of 156.59 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered nationwide. This includes 98.38 million first doses, 56.27 million second doses, and 1.94 million doses administered through the "gotong royong" (community-based) vaccination program.
A total of 1.99 million healthcare workers have received their first dose (135.4% of the target). 1.85 million healthcare workers have received their second dose (126.15% of the target). Furthermore, 994,910 healthcare workers have received a third dose (67.74% of the target).
For public sector workers, 27.87 million people have received their first dose (160.86% of the target), and 21.24 million have received their second dose (122.56% of the target).
The elderly were prioritized in the initial vaccination phase. To date, 6.92 million elderly individuals (32.11% of the target) have received their first dose, and 4.55 million (21.12% of the target) have received their second dose.
Starting in July 2021, the government also targeted vulnerable and general populations. For this group, 56.54 million people (40.8% of the target) have received their first dose, and 24.9 million (18.26% of the target) have received their second dose.
Finally, for adolescents aged 12-17 years, 3.99 million (14.93% of the target) have received their first dose, and 2.84 million (10.65% of the target) have received their second dose.
