The average expenditure of people in the Aru Islands Regency for purchasing cooked chicken/meat (fried chicken, rendang, etc.) in 2023 was Rp165.97 per capita per week. This figure is lower than the previous year's expenditure, which was recorded at Rp409.59 per capita per week.

The five largest expenditures of the population for ready-to-eat food and beverage groups in the Aru Islands Regency, from the highest to the lowest, were: other bread Rp3,878.98 per capita per week, mixed rice/rames Rp2,054.56 per capita per week, crackers/kripik Rp1,426.77 per capita per week, other ready-to-eat food Rp1,380.28 per capita per week, and the lowest was spent on nuggets at Rp32.76 per capita per week.
