The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 125 regencies/cities with a weekly Covid-19 positive confirmation rate above the national average, currently recorded at 3.18 per 100,000 population/week (data as of Saturday, September 10, 2022).
The top five regencies/cities with rates exceeding 27.03 per 100,000 population/week are Teluk Bintuni, Tomohon City, Madiun City, North Jakarta City, and West Jakarta City, with respective values of 56.41 per 100,000 population/week, 37.13 per 100,000 population/week, 35.33 per 100,000 population/week, 27.03 per 100,000 population/week, and 27.03 per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows that positive confirmations in most regencies/cities outside Java have decreased. A daily positive confirmation rate higher than previous days was recorded in 70 regencies/cities, while 86 regencies/cities recorded lower positive confirmations.
Areas outside Java with the highest positive confirmation rates include Teluk Bintuni, Tomohon City, and Manado City, with positive confirmations of 56.41 per 100,000 population/week, 37.13 per 100,000 population/week, and 20.28 per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
