The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 150 districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at 1.11 percent (data as of Saturday, July 16, 2022).
The top five districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 9.47 percent are North Jakarta, South Tangerang, West Jakarta, South Jakarta, and East Jakarta, with values of 11.78 percent, 11.1 percent, 10.84 percent, 10.01 percent, and 9.47 percent, respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows that the seven-day positivity rate in most districts/cities outside Java has decreased. A daily seven-day positivity rate higher than the previous day was recorded in 66 districts/cities, while 96 districts/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Barito Timur, Denpasar City, and Banjar, with seven-day positivity rates of eight percent, 7.05 percent, and 6.57 percent, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
