The number of people in Bangka Belitung Islands who have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine has reached 1.05 million.

As of Saturday, January 29, 2022, the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination coverage in Bangka Belitung Islands Province has reached 92.07 percent. This figure is equivalent to 1.05 million vaccine recipients out of a target of 1.14 million people. Meanwhile, the second dose vaccination has reached 66.92 percent of the target.

Based on target groups, the details of the vaccination to combat the Covid-19 virus in this province are as follows: The health workforce group has a target of 11,100 participants. For the first dose, vaccination was successfully carried out for 11,100 people (126.18 percent of the target), and for the second dose, 122.86 percent or 10,230 people were vaccinated.

Public service workers have a target of 89,570 people. The first dose vaccination has reportedly reached 135,660 people (151.45 percent of the target), and the second dose has reached 139.98 percent, or 125,390 people.

For the elderly, the target is 95,860 people. For the first dose, it has been administered to 70,370 people (73.4 percent of the target). For the second dose, only 57.98 percent or 55,580 people have been vaccinated.

The general vulnerable population has a target of 789,860 people. For the first dose, vaccination has reportedly been administered to 565,040 people (72.14 percent of the target). For the second dose, only 54.53 percent or 426,450 people have been vaccinated.

Another target group is adolescents aged 12-17 years. The target in this region is 151,430 people. For the first dose, 141,340 people have been vaccinated (93.33 percent of the target). For the second dose, 76.46 percent or 115,790 people have been vaccinated.
