Average Years of Schooling for Residents of Mamuju Tengah Regency Increases to 7.73 Years

The average years of schooling (AYS) for residents aged 25 and over in Mamuju Tengah, West Sulawesi, was 7.73 years in 2023.

According to data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the AYS in this region is below the average for West Sulawesi Province, which was 8.13 years in 2023.

The AYS for Mamuju Tengah residents increased by 0.12 years (1.58%) compared to the previous year, which was 7.61 years. Meanwhile, over the past five years, the AYS has increased by 0.5 years (6.92%).

This AYS indicates that the average resident of Mamuju Tengah only attends school up to the seventh grade. However, this AYS is still below the national average of 8.77 years in 2023.
