The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 159 districts/cities with a seven-day aglomeration positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at 1.67 percent (data as of Saturday, January 7, 2023).
The top five districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 18.75 percent are Aceh Selatan (33.33 percent), Kayong Utara (25 percent), Banjarnegara (19.74 percent), Halmahera Utara (18.75 percent), and Melawi (18.75 percent).
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows that the seven-day positivity rate in most districts/cities outside Java has decreased. A daily seven-day positivity rate higher than the previous day was recorded in 63 districts/cities, while 114 districts/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Aceh Selatan (33.33 percent), Kayong Utara (25 percent), and Halmahera Utara (18.75 percent).
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
