Today's COVID-19 Provincial Data Update: West Java Reports the Highest Increase (Sunday, June 4, 2023)

Indonesia today recorded an additional 229 Covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of cases since the start of the pandemic to 6.81 million as of Sunday, June 4, 2023. The five provinces with the highest number of new cases today are West Java, Jakarta, East Java, South Sumatra, and North Sumatra.

1. West Java recorded an increase of 49 cases

West Java ranks first. The increase in cases here was 49, a 0% increase compared to the previous day's cumulative total of 1.25 million. With this addition, the total number of cases in West Java is now 1.25 million.

In addition to recording the highest number of new cases, West Java also recorded two deaths. Thus, the total number of deaths during the Covid-19 pandemic in West Java has reached 16,185. The seven-day positive rate is at 3%, and the BOR for Covid-19 hospitals is reported at 4.45%.

2. Jakarta recorded an increase of 48 cases

Jakarta ranks second. The increase in Covid-19 cases here was 48. The seven-day positive rate in this region is recorded at 4.17%. In an effort to combat the Covid-19 pandemic, the number of people tested for Covid-19 in this province is recorded at 14.65 per week.
3. East Java recorded an increase of 30 cases

4. South Sumatra recorded an increase of 20 cases

5. North Sumatra recorded an increase of 16 cases

7. Central Java recorded an increase of 13 cases

Seventh on the list is Central Java. In this province, today's increase in cases was 13, a 0% increase compared to the previous day's cumulative total of 662,140.

Two deaths were also reported in Central Java today. Thus, the total number of deaths during the Covid-19 pandemic in Central Java has reached 34,272.

8. Bali recorded an increase of seven cases

Eighth on the list is Bali. In this province, today's increase in cases was seven, a 0% increase compared to the previous day's cumulative total of 173,690. The seven-day positive rate is at 1.98%, and the BOR for Covid-19 hospitals is reported at 2.62%.
9. Lampung recorded an increase of six cases

Ninth on the list is Lampung. In this province, today's increase in cases was six, a 0.01% increase compared to the previous day's cumulative total of 79,104.
