According to a report by the Indonesian Health Insurance Agency (Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Sosial Kesehatan or BPJS Kesehatan), as of January 31, 2023, there were 27,659 healthcare facilities providing National Health Insurance (JKN) services throughout Indonesia.
Community Health Centers (Puskesmas) constituted the largest number of JKN healthcare facilities during this period, totaling 10,283 units or 37.17% of all JKN healthcare facilities at the beginning of the year.
Other JKN healthcare facilities in Indonesia included 7,158 primary clinics (klinik pratama), 4,720 individual doctor practices (dokter praktek perorangan), and 2,601 hospitals (rumah sakit).

* PRB and Chronic Pharmacies (Apotik PRB dan Kronis): 176 units
* Class D Primary Hospitals (RS Kelas D Pratama): 42 units

As of January 31, 2023, BPJS Kesehatan reported that the number of National Health Insurance (JKN) participants had reached 249.67 million people. These participants came from groups receiving premium assistance from the national budget (PBI APBN), premium assistance from regional budgets (PBI APBD), state-employed wage earners (PPU PN), non-state employed wage earners (PPU BU), self-employed wage earners (PPU Pekerja Mandiri), and non-workers.
