The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) collects data on the average monthly per capita expenditure on non-food items across all Indonesian provinces. Based on this data, the following are the 10 provinces with the highest average monthly per capita expenditure on non-food items in the country.
DKI Jakarta recorded the highest average monthly per capita expenditure on non-food items at Rp1.69 million. In this province, the BPS recorded a 2.86% year-on-year decrease in this data compared to the same period the previous year. Riau Islands is ranked second. Compared to the same period the previous year, the average monthly per capita expenditure on non-food items in this province grew by 3.93%. In the same period the previous year, the average monthly per capita expenditure on non-food items in this province was recorded at Rp1.13 million.
Next, East Kalimantan with an average monthly per capita expenditure on non-food items of Rp1.12 million (up 1.98%), Bali's average monthly per capita expenditure on non-food items increased by 5.54% to Rp1.07 million compared to the same period the previous year, and Yogyakarta's average monthly per capita expenditure on non-food items increased by 0.12% to Rp1.01 million compared to the same period the previous year.
