Apple, the iPhone smartphone manufacturer, has numerous stores worldwide, including one on Greene Street, New York, USA. A Lamudi Indonesia release states that the rental price for retail space in this premium area, according to Cushman & Wakefield’s data, reaches US$3,000 per square meter, or approximately Rp 40.5 million (at an exchange rate of Rp 13,500 per US dollar). This is the highest price compared to other well-known retail brands.

Famous fashion brands like Gucci also have stores in elite areas, specifically in the Lee Gardens One & Two shopping mall in Hong Kong. The average retail space rental price there reaches US$2,878 per square meter. Another famous brand, Five Guys, also leases prime retail space on the Champs-Élysées in Paris. The renowned watch brand Cartier has a store on Bond Street, London, with rent exceeding US$1,000 per square meter.

The need for retail space to run a business is crucial. A highly sought-after store location is, of course, one in a central and strategic city location.
