West Java Had the Most Poultry Farming Companies in 2021

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reports that poultry farming companies are almost evenly distributed throughout Indonesia, but are still dominant in Java. Almost 70% of poultry farming companies are located on Java Island, namely 279 companies out of 399 poultry farming companies. West Java has the highest number of poultry farming companies.

The number of livestock farming companies in Indonesia was recorded at 534 companies in 2021. This comprises 34 dairy cattle farming companies, 101 large and small livestock companies, and 399 poultry farming companies.

West Java has the highest number of poultry farming companies. The number of poultry companies in this region reached 173 companies, or 43.36% of all poultry farms in Indonesia. This is followed by Banten with 51 companies (12.78%).

Central Java has 33 poultry farming companies (8.27%). Then, Lampung and East Java each have 22 companies (5.51%) and 21 companies (5.26%), respectively.

Meanwhile, several provinces such as Aceh, Bengkulu, DKI Jakarta, East Nusa Tenggara, North Kalimantan, West Sulawesi, Maluku, North Maluku, and West Papua do not have any poultry farming companies.
