Local Sugar Prices Highest in These 10 Provinces (Tuesday, July 16, 2024)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of local granulated sugar (per kg) in modern markets across several provinces at Rp 17,600 per kg, as of Tuesday, July 16, 2024. Overall, the average this week decreased compared to last week's average of Rp 17,700 per kg.

The daily price of local granulated sugar in modern markets in Gorontalo was the most expensive in Indonesia, with a selling price of Rp 21,000 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of local granulated sugar in this province is higher. Previously, it was recorded at Rp 12,000 per kg.

Meanwhile, in modern markets in West Papua, the price of local granulated sugar was sold at Rp 20,400 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the price of local granulated sugar in North Kalimantan was Rp 18,650 per kg, Papua Rp 18,500 per kg, and Riau Rp 18,500 per kg.

Meanwhile, there are 16 provinces with local granulated sugar sales below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest selling prices for local granulated sugar are Bengkulu, DKI Jakarta, and Bangka Belitung Islands.
