Latest Food Prices in West Sumatra: Prices of Cooking Oil and Chicken Drop

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Saturday (11/1/2025) at 08.44 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include red chilies, curly red chilies, premium rice, dry soybean (import), and skipjack tuna.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as broiler chicken, bulk wheat flour, medium rice, granulated sugar, and milkfish decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of Indian mackerel saw the highest increase, jumping Rp9,950 (19.6%) to Rp60,720 per kg. The price of milkfish saw the sharpest decrease, dropping Rp10,970 (23.86%) to Rp35,000 per kg.

9. Milkfish: Rp35,000 per kg (down 23.86%)
