Latest Food Prices in East Java: Salt Prices Up, Onion Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Wednesday (5/6/2024) at 12:41 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include bulk cooking oil, dry soybean (import), red chili peppers, pure beef, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as simple packaged cooking oil, medium rice, bulk wheat flour, milkfish, and broiler chicken have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase of Rp330 (3.56%), reaching Rp9,600 per kg. The price of Indian mackerel saw the lowest decrease of Rp860 (2.61%), reaching Rp32,040 per kg.
