Ministry of Finance Best Prepared in Utilizing ICT in Government

The Ministry of Finance achieved the highest ranking in the utilization of information and communication technology (ICT). The 2015 Indonesian e-Government Ranking (PeGI) assessment gave it an average score of 3.67, the highest among 27 other ministries. This utilization encompasses the use of ICT in planning, policy, institutional matters, infrastructure, and applications. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Communication and Informatics ranked 6th with an average score of 3.15 (categorized as good).

Considering the scores for each dimension, planning was the lowest-rated aspect of e-Government implementation in Indonesia. The strongest aspect in ICT utilization was infrastructure.

The high infrastructure score compared to others indicates that government institutions at the ministerial level possess adequate facilities and infrastructure. Overall, the average PeGI score for ministries was 2.7, categorized as good.
