Sedyatmo Toll Road Tariffs to Increase by Approximately Rp500 After Indonesian Independence Day
The toll tariff on the Sedyatmo Toll Road will increase by approximately Rp500 after Indonesia's Independence Day. Endra S Atmawidjaja, spokesperson for the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR), stated that the increase is in line with inflation factors. Furthermore, he explained that toll tariff increases are also a right of the Toll Road Business Entities (BUJT) as road operators.
While Endra did not specify the exact date the new tariff will take effect, existing regulations indicate that the adjustment will be implemented on August 20, 2023.
This policy regarding the Sedyatmo Toll Road tariff increase is regulated by the PUPR Ministerial Decree Number 855/KPTS/M/2023, issued on July 31, 2023.
According to Endra, the Sedyatmo Toll Road tariff increase will be implemented after the 78th Indonesian Independence Day celebrations on August 17, 2023. "(Implemented) after the 17th," said Endra, as quoted by Kompas.com on Wednesday (August 9, 2023).
The following details the new tariffs to be applied on the Sedyatmo Toll Road section based on the regulation:
* Class I: increase from Rp8,000 to Rp8,500
* Class II and III: increase from Rp10,500 to Rp11,000
* Class IV and V: increase from Rp11,500 to Rp12,000
The Sedyatmo Toll Road is part of the Trans-Java Toll Road, connecting DKI Jakarta with Soekarno-Hatta International Airport and managed by PT Jasamarga Metropolitan Tollroad (JMT).
In addition to the Sedyatmo Toll Road, the Jakarta-Bogor-Ciawi (Jagorawi) toll tariff will also increase by approximately Rp500 on the same date. This toll tariff increase is regulated in PUPR Ministerial Decree Number 854/KPTS/M/2023.
"The implementation of this new tariff considers the balance between the ability of toll road users to pay, conducive investment returns, fulfillment of Minimum Service Standards (SPM), and improved services from the Jagorawi Toll Road section," wrote Jasamarga Metropolitan on its Instagram account @jasamargametropolitan on Tuesday (August 8, 2023).
