Construction of 13 new toll road sections will be expedited until the end of 2023. The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) and the Toll Road Business Entities (BUJT) are in charge of the construction.
According to *Katadata*, Triono Junoasmono, Director of Toll Roads at the Directorate General of Highways, Ministry of PUPR, stated that the completion of the toll road construction aims to improve connectivity. He explained that this construction will impact the national logistics system, making it more efficient and boosting business competitiveness.
"Therefore, toll road construction is linked to the development of productive areas, such as industrial estates, tourism areas, airports, and ports, to improve logistics efficiency," he said in a written statement on Thursday (26/5/2023).
Triono added that the target total length of toll roads to be built and operated by 2024 reaches 3,455 km.
The following is a list of the 13 toll road sections currently under construction and targeted for completion by the end of 2023:
* Simpang Indralaya-Prabumulih (64.7 km)
* Kisaran-Tebing Tinggi Toll Road (47.6 km)
* Kuala Tanjung-Tebing Tinggi-Parapat Toll Road, sections 1-2 (38.45 km)
* Jakarta-Cikampek II Selatan Toll Road, package 3 (31.25 km)
* Cileunyi-Sumedang-Dawuan Toll Road, sections 4-6 (28.2 km)
* Binjai-Langsa Toll Road (26.2 km)
* Cimanggis-Cibitung Toll Road, section 2 (23.01 km)
* Sigli-Banda Aceh Toll Road, sections 5-6 (13.2 km)
* Ciawi Sukabumi Toll Road, section 2 (11.9 km)
* Pasuruan-Probolinggo Toll Road, section 4A (8.57 km)
* Cibitung-Cilincing Toll Road, section 4 (7.7 km)
* Serpong-Balaraja Toll Road, section 1B (5.4 km)
* Serpong-Cinere Toll Road, section 2 (3.6 km)
In addition to these 13 toll road sections, three new toll roads have been operational since January to May 2023, with the following details:
* Semarang-Demak Toll Road (Section 2 Sayung-Demak: 16.01 km)
* Becakkayu Toll Road (Section 2A Jakasampurna-Kayuringin: 4.88 km)
* Cinere-Jagorawi Toll Road (Section 3A Kukusan - Krukut: 3.5 km)
