Semarang-Batang Toll Road Tariffs Increase as of October 9, 2023: Details Inside

PT Jasamarga Semarang-Batang has adjusted the toll rates on the Semarang-Batang toll road, effective Thursday, October 9, 2023.

This toll rate increase is stipulated in the Decree of the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Number 1155/KPTS/M/2023, ratified on September 15, 2023.

"This tariff adjustment is necessary to ensure a conducive investment climate for toll roads, maintain investor and market player confidence in the prospective toll road industry in Indonesia," said PT Jasamarga Semarang-Batang President Director Nasrullah in his official statement on Saturday, October 7, 2023.

He stated that the toll rate increase on the Semarang-Batang Toll Road is also guaranteed by Government Regulation No. 30 of 2017 concerning Toll Roads.

With this new policy, here is a breakdown of the new toll rates for the longest distance from Batang to Semarang/Kalikangkung and vice versa using a closed transaction system:

* Class I: from Rp86,000 to Rp111,500
* Class II: from Rp167,500 to Rp129,000
* Class III: from Rp167,500 to Rp129,000
* Class IV: from Rp223,000 to Rp172,500
* Class V: from Rp223,000 to Rp172,500

Nasrullah explained that although the Semarang-Batang toll rate increased by almost 30%, the total toll rate from Jakarta to Surabaya only increased by 3% overall.

Note that the Semarang-Batang Toll Road is one of 13 toll road sections traversed on the journey to Jakarta-Surabaya.

Meanwhile, PT Jasamarga Semarang-Batang also guarantees that it will improve toll road management services in accordance with government recommendations.

"PT Jasamarga Semarang Batang continues to improve the quality of toll roads, such as pavement maintenance, toll road supporting facilities, and cleaning of toll road right-of-way areas," said Nasrullah.
