PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk recorded 149,674 vehicles leaving the Jakarta, Tangerang, Bogor, and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) area on H-7 Lebaran, or Wednesday, April 3, 2024.
This figure is the accumulation of traffic flow from four main toll gates: Cikupa Toll Gate (Merak direction), Ciawi Toll Gate (Puncak direction), Cikampek Utama Toll Gate (Trans Java direction), and Kalihurip Utama Toll Gate (Bandung direction).
The total volume of vehicles leaving Jabodetabek on H-7 Lebaran increased by 14.33% compared to normal traffic flow.
However, compared to the Lebaran period last year, this year's traffic volume was 16.40% lower.
On Wednesday, April 3, 2024, the highest number of vehicles leaving Jabodetabek passed through Cikupa Toll Gate, with 43,360 vehicles, a 1% increase from normal traffic flow.
The traffic volume leaving Jabodetabek via Cikampek Utama Toll Gate reached 43,360 vehicles, a surge of 69.68% from normal daily traffic.
Then, 30,731 vehicles were observed leaving Jabodetabek via Ciawi Toll Gate, a 1.99% increase from normal traffic flow.
Finally, 28,327 vehicles passed through Kalihurip Utama Toll Gate, a 4.07% increase from normal daily traffic.
Jasa Marga's Corporate Communication and Community Development Group Head, Lisye Octaviana, urged road users to ensure sufficient e-toll balance, especially for continuous journeys.
Returning travelers are also advised to avoid traveling during peak hours, such as after the suhur (pre-dawn meal) or breaking of the fast.
"Obey traffic signs and instructions from officers in the field and always be disciplined in complying with toll road driving regulations. Use your time wisely by not lingering in rest areas," said Lisye in her press release on Wednesday, April 4, 2024.
