No Longer Free, Here Are the Toll Tariffs for the Simpang Indralaya-Prabumulih Toll Road

PT Hutama Karya (Persero) will soon impose tolls on the Simpang Indralaya-Prabumulih Toll Road. Previously, this toll road, an extension of the Palembang-Indralaya Toll Road, had operated toll-free since August 30, 2023.

PT Hutama Karya's VP of Corporate Communication, Intan Zania, stated that the date for implementing the toll charges will be determined after a public announcement of the toll rates.

"So that, once implemented, there will be no incidents of toll road users having insufficient balance at the toll gate, which would cause traffic jams," Zania said in a statement, as reported by *Antara* on Saturday (February 3, 2024).

She added that the toll rate decision refers to the Decree of the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Number 194/KPTS/M/2024 concerning the Implementation of Toll Road Tariffs for the Simpang Indralaya-Muara Enim Section, Indralaya-Prabumulih.

This toll road improvement expands logistics accessibility and public mobility between Prabumulih and Palembang and vice versa.

Previously, the journey took about 2 hours via non-toll roads; now, it only takes 45 minutes via the toll road.

Based on the aforementioned decree, the following are the toll rates for Simpang Indralaya-Prabumulih and vice versa, according to vehicle class:

* Class I: Rp85,000
* Class II: Rp127,500
* Class III: Rp127,500
* Class IV: Rp170,000
* Class V: Rp170,000
