Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS) officially launched a new variant of its legendary SUV, the 5-door Jimny, at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2024.

4W Sales & Marketing Director Matsushita Ryohei stated that the introduction of the 5-door Jimny is a response to customer requests for increased comfort in the second-row seats.

“In response to this demand, we added a 5-door variant with a longer wheelbase,” said Matsushita at the IIMS 2024 event, as reported by Antara on Thursday (15/2/2024).

Unlike the previous variant, the latest 5-door Jimny has dimensions of 3,965 mm in length and a 2,590 mm wheelbase, providing more space for passengers. The car has a luggage capacity of 211 liters.

Features include a 9-inch touchscreen head unit, a rearview camera, four-point parking sensors, and six airbags.

In addition, the 5-door Jimny is equipped with a 4-wheel drive (4x4) system called AllGrip Pro. This feature allows users to select the wheel drive according to their needs.

As an off-road vehicle, it is equipped with a 1,500cc K15B engine, available with a choice of 5-speed manual transmission (MT) and 5-speed automatic transmission (AT).

The 5-door Jimny comes in six color options available in single tone or dual tone. For single-tone variants, Suzuki offers three colors: granite gray metallic, pearl bluish black, and jungle green.
