PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk recorded approximately 1.2 million vehicles returning to the Jakarta, Bogor, Tangerang, and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) area from H1 to H+4 of the Eid al-Fitr holiday, or April 10-15, 2024.
This figure is an accumulation of traffic flow from four main toll gates: Cikupa Toll Gate (from Merak), Ciawi Toll Gate (from Puncak), Cikampek Utama Toll Gate (from Trans Java), and Kalihurip Utama Toll Gate (from Bandung).
The total volume of vehicles returning to Jabodetabek during this post-Eid al-Fitr homecoming period increased by 51.20% compared to normal traffic.
Compared to the same period last year, the volume increased by 3.4%.
Until Monday (April 15, 2024), the highest number of returning vehicles to Jabodetabek passed through Cikampek Utama Toll Gate, reaching 407,760 vehicles. This volume surged by 155.4% from normal traffic.
Traffic volume to Jabodetabek via Cikupa Toll Gate reached 299,862 vehicles, a 12.2% increase from normal daily traffic.
Meanwhile, 274,402 vehicles traveled to Jabodetabek via Kalihurip Utama Toll Gate, an increase of 48.8% from normal traffic.
Finally, 246,001 vehicles passed through Ciawi Toll Gate, a 22.4% increase from normal daily traffic.
Jasa Marga's Marketing Communication Department Head, Faiza Riani, stated that approximately 600,000 vehicles had yet to return to Jabodetabek by H+7 of Eid al-Fitr (April 16, 2024).
"We urge those who have not yet returned to Jabodetabek and have flexible schedules to reschedule their trip and take advantage of the 20% toll discount," said Faiza in her official statement on Tuesday (April 16, 2024).
This toll discount is valid from Wednesday (April 17, 2024) at 5:00 AM to Friday (April 19, 2024) at 5:00 AM, for continuous trips on the Trans Java Toll Road from Semarang to Jakarta, specifically from Kalikangkung Toll Gate to Cikampek Utama Toll Gate.
