The Governor of Jakarta, Anies Baswedan, has approved the fare for Phase 1 of the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) on the Lebak Bulus-Bundaran Hotel Indonesia (HI) route at Rp 10,000 for 10 km. This figure comprises two components: a boarding fee of Rp 1,500 plus a per-kilometer fare of Rp 850/km multiplied by the distance.
Fares between stations will vary, with a minimum fare of Rp 3,000 (for example, between Cipete and Haji Nawi stations) and a maximum fare of Rp 14,000 (between Lebak Bulus and Bundaran Hotel Indonesia stations), as shown in the graph below. This fare will take effect on April 1, 2019.
This transportation service, named Ratangga, was inaugurated by President Joko Widodo on Sunday, March 24, 2019. Phase 1 of the MRT line is approximately 16 km long with 13 stations; 7 are elevated stations and 6 are underground.
