The second installment of the animated film *Inside Out* achieved the title of highest-grossing global box office film by mid-2024.
According to Box Office Mojo data, as of June 24, 2024, the Pixar production had grossed US$724.38 million, or approximately Rp11.91 trillion (assuming Rp16,444 per US$).
This revenue comes from total global box office ticket sales since its premiere on June 7, 2024.
*Inside Out 2* continues the story of Riley Andersen, who is now a teenager, with the emergence of new emotions within her.
The new characters in this sequel are Anxiety, Envy, Ennui, and Embarrassment, all of whom influence Riley's life.
The success of *Inside Out 2* displaced *Dune: Part Two*, which previously held the top spot as the highest-grossing box office film of the year.
*Dune: Part Two*, starring Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya, grossed US$711.84 million, or approximately Rp11.7 trillion.
