Toyota topped the list of the world's best-selling cars in 2021, according to data released by Focus2Move.
Toyota held a 10.5% share of the global automotive market. The Japanese car brand recorded sales of 8.7 million units last year. Toyota has been the world's best-selling car brand since 2010.
"We always see Toyota leading. Indeed, this Japanese brand benefits from a strategy of concentrating on one strong brand, while other manufacturers create several different brands aimed at reaching more consumers," wrote Focus2Move in its report.
