However, Yohanes fought back, scoring eight consecutive points and winning the first game 21-12.

In the second game, Yohanes played more consistently and maintained a strong defense, securing the victory with a score of 21-17.

This win makes Yohanes Saut the fourth Indonesian men's singles player to win a title at a BWF World Tour event in 2023.

According to the Badminton World Federation (BWF), Yohanes, as the winner, received US$7,500, or approximately Rp117.42 million.

Alvi, the runner-up, received US$3,800, or approximately Rp59.49 million.
