Tesla's Market Capitalization is the Largest Among Global Electric Vehicle Manufacturers

The expansion of electric vehicles continues to grow worldwide. The rapid development of these vehicles, touted as environmentally friendly, is inseparable from the popularity of certain brands and the large market capitalization of their parent companies.

According to data from companiesmarketcap.com, Tesla is currently the electric vehicle company with the largest market capitalization, reaching US$1.062 trillion. Tesla delivered 936,000 electric cars in 2021, almost double the 499,550 units delivered the previous year.

Rivian ranks second with a market capitalization of US$71.94 billion. Lucid Motors sits in third place with a market capitalization of US$68.68 billion.

The Chinese electric vehicle company, NIO, ranks fourth with a market capitalization of US$45.98 billion. Other Chinese electric vehicle companies, XPeng and Li Auto, have market capitalizations of US$38.01 billion and US$28.44 billion, respectively.

Other electric vehicle companies with large market capitalizations include Fisker (US$4.62 billion), Arrival (US$4.13 billion), Nikola (US$4.04 billion), and Proterra (US$2.03 billion).
