The Indonesian Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) has officially raised online motorcycle taxi fares in Indonesia. This policy will take effect three days after its enactment.
This means the new online motorcycle taxi fares will be in effect at least from September 10, 2022. "The implementation of this fare increase is given three days from the date of the decision," said Director General of Land Transportation at Kemenhub, Hendro Sugiatno, as quoted by Katadata.co.id on Wednesday (7/9/2022).
Details of the new online motorcycle taxi fares are as follows:
* Zone I, encompassing Sumatra, Java (excluding Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi), and Bali: Rp2,000 – Rp2,500 per kilometer (km). Minimum service fee: Rp8,000 – Rp10,000.

Kemenhub actually issued regulations regarding online motorcycle taxi fares at the beginning of last month, on August 4, 2022, as stipulated in the Minister of Transportation Decree Number 564 of 2022. The details are as follows:
* Zone I, encompassing Sumatra, Java (excluding Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi), and Bali: Rp1,850 – Rp2,300 per kilometer (km). Minimum service fee: Rp9,250 – Rp11,500.
