One of the luxury car brands, Porsche, recorded global car shipments of 242,722 units in the January-September 2023 period. This figure is up 10% year-on-year (YoY) from the same period last year, which shipped 221,512 units.
Based on the model, the Macan was the dominant Porsche car model shipped during this period, with 68,354 units delivered.
Second, the Cayenne, which was globally launched last April, follows in second place. This luxury SUV from Porsche has shipped 64,457 units worldwide.
Next is the 911 model, which shipped 38,789 units up to September 2023. This is followed by the Taycan with 27,885 units and the Panamera with 26,779 units.
Meanwhile, the Porsche 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman models recorded shipments of 16,458 units.
Porsche AG's Executive Board Member for Sales and Marketing, Detlev von Platen, revealed that Porsche is focusing on a strategy of offering exclusive and highly individual products.
"Amidst global economic uncertainty, our currently very balanced global sales structure is a major advantage," said Detlev in his official statement on Friday (13/10/2023).
Detlev also expressed confidence in car shipments for the remainder of the year.
"Global deliveries and demand for our brand models remain at a high level. Therefore, we will continue to increase production with strength and enthusiasm," he concluded.
