In February 2024, the Tesla Model Y was the best-selling electric vehicle with 78,119 units sold, representing 9.4% of total global sales.
From the same manufacturer, the Tesla Model 3 ranked second, selling 37,901 units and contributing 4.6% to global electric vehicle sales.
Next is the BYD Qin Plus, which sold 31,482 units. This figure combines sales of battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs).
Of the top 10 best-selling electric vehicles globally in February 2024, half were manufactured by BYD: BYD Qin Plus, BYD Song, BYD Seagull, BYD Yuan Plus, and BYD Dolphin.
