The Directorate General of Railways, Ministry of Transportation (DJKA Kemenhub) is implementing a promotional fare for the Jabodebek LRT starting Friday, December 1st, 2023.
DJKA Kemenhub Director Risal Wasai stated that this promotion aims to encourage the public to use the Jabodebek LRT during the 2023/2024 Christmas and New Year (Nataru) holidays.
"Public mobility during this holiday period is predicted to be quite high, so we hope that the Jabodebek LRT can be utilized maximally to reduce traffic congestion," said Risal in his official statement on Thursday, November 30th, 2023.
The following are the details of the Jabodebek LRT promotional fare effective December 1st, 2023:
Monday-Friday during peak hours (06.00-08.59 WIB and 16.00-18.59 WIB):
* Shortest distance fare: Rp3,000
* Longest distance fare: Rp20,000
Monday-Friday outside peak hours (05.00-05.59 WIB, 09.00-15.59 WIB, and 19.00-20.49 WIB):
* Shortest distance fare: Rp3,000
* Longest distance fare: Rp10,000
Saturday, Sunday, and national holidays:
* Shortest distance fare: Rp3,000
* Longest distance fare: Rp10,000
In addition to offering promotional fares, DJKA is also adding Jabodebek LRT trainsets to anticipate a surge in passengers during the Nataru holidays.
Previously, 12 trainsets were in operation; this has been increased to 16 trainsets starting Friday, December 1st, 2023.
"This addition of trainsets is intended to shorten the headway to 7-15 minutes," said Risal.
