The Indonesian Automotive Industry Association (Gaikindo) report shows that domestic car sales from factory to dealer (wholesale) reached 49,453 units in May 2022. This figure plummeted 40.33% (m-to-m) from the previous month's 82,879 units.
The Honda Brio topped the list of best-selling cars last month. Total sales of the Brio Satya and RS reached 4,121 units.
Suzuki Carry came in second with total sales of 3,432 units. Toyota Calya followed in third place with 2,223 units sold.
Next, the Daihatsu Gran Max Pick Up sold 2,153 units. This was followed by the Mitsubishi Xpander (including Cross) with 2,109 units and the Toyota Kijang Innova with 2,046 units.
Meanwhile, the Toyota Avanza was last, nearly dropping out of the top 10 best-selling cars, with sales of 1,766 units.
