The Official Airline Guide (OAG) report notes that Soekarno-Hatta Airport is the busiest airport in Southeast Asia. This is because the airport had a flight seat capacity of 2.96 million passenger seats in September 2022, the highest among airports in ASEAN.
“Jakarta remains the busiest airport in Southeast Asia this month, with 3 million (passenger) seats,” according to the OAG report.
Tan Son Nhat Airport in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, ranked second with the highest number of flight seats in Southeast Asia, reaching 2.09 million passenger seats this month.
Next, Changi Airport in Singapore ranked third with a total of 2.08 million passenger seats. Manila Airport followed in fourth place with a total of 2.04 million passenger seats.

The OAG report notes that the total airline capacity this month reached 30.24 million passenger seats in Southeast Asia. This includes 21.81 million seats from domestic flights and 8.42 million seats from international flights.
Although up from September last year, overall airline capacity in Southeast Asia is still 28% lower than in September 2019. International airline capacity is still contracted by 52% compared to September 2019.
