Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung stated that the total losses due to damage to public facilities during the protests in Jakarta since the end of August 2025 have increased to Rp81.1 billion.
This figure is up from the previous estimate of Rp51.1 billion, following the discovery of damage to two pedestrian overpasses (JPOs) with an estimated cost of Rp19 billion.
In addition, damage also occurred to 18 traffic lights and several CCTV cameras.
"It turns out that after recalculation, there are two JPOs, namely in Senen and also in front of the Police Headquarters, which suffered serious damage and were only recently calculated by the Public Works Agency," said Pramono at the DKI Jakarta City Hall, as reported by *Berita Jakarta*, Tuesday (2/9/2025).
To accelerate repairs, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will focus on repairing MRT infrastructure, Transjakarta, Bank Jakarta, and a number of traffic lights.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Public Works (PU) will undertake repairs to the two damaged JPOs.
"I also asked for assistance from the Ministry of Public Works if they are willing to help with the JPOs in Senen and the Police Headquarters, to be assisted by the Central Government," said Pramono.
Previously, Pramono detailed losses due to damage to public facilities in Jakarta amounting to Rp51.1 billion. This was allocated to MRT Jakarta Rp3.3 billion, Transjakarta Rp41.6 billion, and other infrastructure damage Rp5.5 billion.
The Ministry of Public Works has also provided a budget of approximately Rp900 billion to repair all damage to public facilities in various regions of Indonesia. Part of this will be used for the revitalization of the two JPOs.
"That is still within the budget ceiling that we calculated at the beginning; from all provinces throughout Indonesia, we have budgeted around Rp 900 billion," said Public Works Minister Dody Hanggodo on the same occasion.
