Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung revealed that the total projected losses due to damage to public facilities during the protests in Jakarta since the end of August 2025 reached Rp51.1 billion.
These losses include damage to public transportation facilities, city infrastructure, and other supporting facilities.
"The infrastructure damage to the Jakarta MRT amounts to Rp3.3 billion. Transjakarta is approximately Rp41.6 billion. Then, damage to CCTV infrastructure and other facilities is Rp5.5 billion," said Pramono after a meeting with the Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda), as reported by *Berita Jakarta*, Monday (September 1, 2025).
Pramono detailed that 22 Transjakarta bus stops, both BRT and non-BRT, were affected. Specifically, 6 bus stops were burned down, and 16 others suffered damage such as broken glass and vandalism.
However, the Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov DKI Jakarta) has been carrying out repairs since Saturday, August 30, 2025. Repairs are targeted for completion on September 8-9, 2025.
"We have requested permission from the Attorney General's Office for assistance, and of course, contingency funds will be used for this," said Pramono.
The subsidy funds used for the free transportation service amounted to Rp18 billion.
In addition, the Jakarta Provincial Government implemented a Rp1 fare for Transjakarta and MRT services from August 31 to September 7, 2025, coinciding with the ongoing repairs.
