Number of EV Charging Stations in Indonesian Provinces, September 2024

Public Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (SPKLU) are considered crucial infrastructure for the electric vehicle ecosystem.

"In supporting the electric vehicle ecosystem, PLN has prepared SPKLUs spread throughout Indonesia," PLN stated in its 2025-2034 Electricity Supply Business Plan (RUPTL) document.

According to the document, as of September 2024, there were 2,093 SPKLUs in Indonesia.

The highest concentration of SPKLUs is in Jakarta, West Java, East Java, Banten, and Central Java. Combined, these five provinces on Java Island account for 66% of the national total.

The following details the number of SPKLUs in Indonesian provinces as of September 2024, ordered from highest to lowest:

1. Jakarta: 505 units

2. West Java: 383 units

3. East Java: 182 units

4. Banten: 173 units

5. Central Java: 147 units

6. Bali: 110 units

7. North Sumatra: 69 units

8. East Kalimantan: 49 units

9. Lampung: 42 units

10. South Sumatra: 40 units

11. South Sulawesi: 38 units

12. West Sumatra: 36 units

13. South Kalimantan: 31 units

14. West Kalimantan: 30 units

15. West Nusa Tenggara: 30 units

16. East Nusa Tenggara: 27 units

17. North Sulawesi: 22 units

18. Aceh: 21 units

19. Yogyakarta Special Region: 20 units
