10 of the World's Most Punctual Airlines 2024

The aviation analytics firm Cirium has released a list of airlines with the best on-time arrival records globally in 2024.

Cirium calculates airline on-time performance based on flights that arrived within 15 minutes of their scheduled time.

In 2024, the Mexican airline Aeromexico had the highest on-time performance score in the world, at 86.70% out of a total of 196,911 flights. This means that almost 87% of Aeromexico flights arrived within 15 minutes of their scheduled time.

Saudia followed closely in second place, with an on-time performance rate of 86.35% from 192,560 flights.

Here is the complete list of the top 10 airlines with the best on-time performance in the world in 2024, according to Cirium:

1. Aeromexico (Mexico): 86.70%
2. Saudia (Saudi Arabia): 86.35%
3. Delta Air Lines (United States): 83.46%
4. Latam Airlines (Chile): 82.89%
5. Qatar Airways (Qatar): 82.83%
6. Azul Airlines (Brazil): 82.42%
7. Avianca (Colombia): 81.80%
8. Iberia (Spain): 81.58%
9. Scandinavian Airlines (Denmark, Sweden, and Norway): 81.40%
10. United Airlines (United States): 80.93%

Cirium CEO Jeremy Bowen stated that 2024 was a challenging year for airlines due to various obstacles, including large-scale system disruptions and unpredictable weather.

"Despite these challenges, airlines and airports have worked tirelessly to ensure their customers have smooth journeys and arrive on time," said Jeremy in a press release on Thursday, January 2, 2025.
