According to a Populix survey, the majority, or 89%, of respondents were aware of the People's Housing Savings Program (Tapera).
Of this group, 71% expressed concerns about the transparency of Tapera's fund management.
This was followed by 66% who worried about the safety of their funds, and 55% who questioned the program's effectiveness.
"Skepticism regarding the program's effectiveness and transparency highlights the need for additional efforts to build trust," wrote Populix in a report titled *Public Sentiment towards the TAPERA Program*.

Furthermore, 44% of respondents were skeptical about the program's sustainability, 39% considered its affordability, 37% questioned the ease of access and program processes, and 2% had other concerns.
Meanwhile, 3% of respondents claimed to have no concerns whatsoever about the Tapera program.
Populix conducted this online survey from August 12-19, 2024, with 1,056 respondents, narrowed down to 942 who claimed to know the Tapera program.
The majority of respondents were from Java (78%), followed by Sumatra (13%), and other islands (9%). Respondents were predominantly aged 17-25 (43%) and 26-30 (22%).
