Daihatsu Receives 539 Vehicle Orders at GIIAS 2024, Sigra is the Best Seller

Daihatsu recorded 539 vehicle order letters (SPK) during the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) from July 18-28, 2024.

According to Tri Mulyono, Marketing & Customer Relations Division Head of PT Astra International Tbk Daihatsu Sales Operation, this figure is down from last year's GIIAS, which achieved 1,203 SPKs. However, he stated that sales were not the primary objective of participating in the exhibition.

"The main goal of Daihatsu's participation in GIIAS 2024 was to provide education and increase public awareness regarding the company's products, technology, and development," said Tri, as reported by *Katadata OTO*, Tuesday (August 6, 2024).

The best-selling Daihatsu car at GIIAS 2024 was the Sigra, with 148 SPKs or 27% of total orders.

Next was the Terios with 79 orders, Grand Max Pick Up with 64 units, Ayla with 56 units, and Xenia with 54 units. Daihatsu also introduced the new Xenia ADS model at GIIAS 2024.

"The Daihatsu Xenia received 54 orders, and 5 of those were the ADS type. Units will be delivered to customers in September 2024," said Tri.

Other Daihatsu car types ordered at GIIAS 2024 include Gran Max Minibus (43 units), Rocky (41 units), Sirion (39 units), and Luxio (15 units).
