Based on preliminary data from the Integrated Lebaran Transportation Post 2022, the movement of public transportation passengers on the fifth day after Lebaran (H+5), Sunday (May 8, 2022), decreased to 1.02 million passengers.
This is lower than the fourth day after Lebaran (H+4), Saturday (May 7, 2022), which amounted to 1.07 million passengers.
Monitoring of homecoming passenger movement this year was conducted at 111 bus terminals, 16 crossing ports, airports, 110 seaports, and 13 railway Regional Operational Areas/Divisions (Daops/Divre).
"So far, the peak of public transportation passenger movement during the return flow was on H+4, Saturday (May 7, 2022). Meanwhile, on Sunday (H+5), the number decreased slightly, but it was still above 1 million people," said the Ministry of Transportation Spokesperson Adita Irawati, as reported by the Dephub.go.id portal on Monday (May 9, 2022).
The following is a breakdown of the realization of homecoming passenger traffic by mode of transportation on H+5 Lebaran, Sunday (May 8, 2022):
* Ferry transport: 281,659 passengers
* Bus transport: 253,444 passengers
* Air transport: 239,838 passengers
* Rail transport: 158,655 passengers
* Sea transport: 91,222 passengers
Meanwhile, cumulatively, from H-7 to H+5 Lebaran (April 25-May 8, 2022), the number of passengers per mode of transportation is as follows:
* Ferry transport: 3.36 million passengers
* Air transport: 2.66 million passengers
* Bus transport: 2.41 million passengers
* Rail transport: 1.82 million passengers
* Sea transport: 1.06 million passengers
