PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) recorded retail sales of 10,019 units in January 2024. Sales volume decreased by 9.1% year-on-year (YoY) compared to January 2023 (11,018 units).
The Brio was the best-selling Honda model last month, with sales of 5,186 units, accounting for approximately 52% of total retail sales.
Next was the Honda HR-V SUV model, with 1,624 units sold. This was followed by the WR-V, which sold 1,460 units in January 2024.
The following is a complete breakdown of Honda's retail vehicle sales in the domestic market for January 2024:
Brio: 5,186 units
HR-V: 1,624 units
WR-V: 1,460 units
BR-V: 1,131 units
CR-V: 351 units
City Hatchback RS: 131 units
Civic RS: 57 units
Accord: 31 units
Mobilio: 30 units
City: 18 units
With these results, Honda contributed 12.8% to the national automotive retail market share. This makes Honda the third best-selling car manufacturer in Indonesia throughout January 2024.
Sales & Marketing and After Sales Director of PT HPM, Yusak Billy, stated that at the beginning of this year, HPM will continue to monitor market developments to adapt to consumer demand.
“With the model refresh we have implemented and the motorshow offering various attractive sales programs, we hope to revitalize the market at the beginning of this year,” said Billy in his official statement on Tuesday (20/2/2024).
