PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI has set a 22-day Lebaran transportation period, from April 22 to May 13, 2022 (H-10 to H+10 Lebaran).
"During this period, an average of 59 trains will operate daily, with approximately 33,000 seats available for departures from Gambir and Pasar Senen Stations," said Eva Chairunisa, Public Relations Manager of Jakarta Daop 1, in an official statement.
To support Lebaran 2022 transportation, PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta has prepared 329 units of facilities. This includes 45 locomotives and 284 passenger and baggage cars.
All locomotives and trains have undergone various maintenance stages and special inspections ahead of the Lebaran transportation period. For the maintenance of locomotives and trains in Daop 2 Jakarta, there are 3 locomotive depots, 3 train depots and carriages, and the Manggarai Workshop for major maintenance and overhauls.
